How To Remove Windows Genuine Notification

I recently again came up with the situation that Windows Genuine Notification popped up because Windows Update again installed it via Automatic Updates. It pops up while a user logs in to windows, displays a message near the system tray and keeps on reminding you in between work that the copy of windows is not genuine. It has been reported since its first release that even genuine users are getting this prompt, so Microsoft has them self release instructions for its removal. When I searched on Google about this issue, I landed up on pages which were providing many methods of its removal including those patching up existing files with their cracked versions which I would highly recommend avoiding them as they might contain malicious code and can be used to get you into more trouble.
I found out this method of removal of Windows Genuine Notification :

Review Of Panda Antivirus Pro 2012

The new security products for 2012 are slowly beginning to appear now. Previously I looked at Kaspersky Antivirus 2012. Today I am reviewing Panda Antivirus Pro 2012.
Regular readers may recall that, historically, I have not been a fan of Panda’s free offerings but have been well impressed with their retail products. Lets see if that will change this year…
The Good:
  • Runs well on older computers
  • Firewall included
  • Large range of features
The Bad:
  • Panda Safe Browser isn’t the nicest thing I’ve ever used
  • Interface: white text on a black background is a personal no-no

Review Of Kaspersky Antivirus 2012

Following on from my review of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 I am today kicking off my 2012 antivirus reviews with another Kaspersky Labs product which is unsurprisingly called Kaspersky Antivirus 2012.
The Good:
  • Quick to install
  • Quick to run
  • Effective detection of threats
The Bad:
  • Scanning disabled if your laptop is running off the battery (though this setting can be changed)
  • I believe that Kaspersky’s 2012 Internet Security suite offers better value

The Best 10 Antivirus Programs 2012

It may only be the middle of 2011 but antivirus programs are a bit like sporty computer games – they all come out 6 months early. Unlike said computer games there are many good choices when it comes to antivirus programs. But which choice is the right one for you?

Well, something I’ve always said, and always will, is that there is no correct answer to that question. We all have different skill levels and use our computers, laptops, netbooks and cell phones in different ways.
With that in mind, I’m going to take a look at what I think will be the top 10 antivirus programs for 2012 and I’ll tell you what I like about them and what I don’t like. After that you’ll have to decide which features work for you and buy accordingly.

How to Install Windows 8 from Bootable USB Flash Drive without Windows 8 DVD

Back in Windows 7 days we had cover how to install Windows 7 from USB Drive and it turned out quite popular guide amongst early Windows 7 adopters. The main reason of making bootable Windows 7USB drive is either you got laptop & PC machine without DVD drive.

How To Reset Windows 7 To Original Factory Settings [Complete Guide]

We all know that the next version of Microsoft Windows OS – Windows 8 will have an immensely handy option to reset Windows to original state, also referred to as, restore system to original factory settings. Many Windows 7 users feel that it’d be better if there is any tool or system recovery utility which can effortlessly revert the system running Windows 7 back to its original state (provided you have not made a recovery disk). As far as Windows 7 is concerned, there are lot of methods available online, claiming to bring back the original settings of Windows 7 with default set of pre-installed programs, application compilers, and software packages, but sadly, all the contrived methods seem tiring and require a lot of effort, leaving user with no other option than to manually reset Windows to original settings.

Norton 2012 Internet Security Review – More than Just Antivirus

In recent years, Symantec’s Norton Internet Security on packages for end-users is a complete makeover. The comprehensive package of security tools works better now than ever before and offers an impressive list of features and new tools such as remote management and to analyze the stability of downloads.
Even when tests conducted by third-party benchmarks that evaluate the effectiveness of product safety, the program is at the upper end of the scale. CNET Labs performance benchmarks also suggest that users should be in their daily work, despite the considerable resources required under normal conditions with minimal impact from the Norton software.

10 Reasons why Application didn’t open on Windows and their Solution

Two mouse clicks and the program you just installed does not open. Or another opens, but displays an error a few seconds and then closes or disappears suddenly. And you stare at the wallpaper, which is nice, yes, but not it’s any consolation.

The reasons why an application quits unexpectedly, sometimes taking others with them, are many, but can be grouped into a few categories. You know put it on the track of the error and its solution.

1. Essential Dependency / DLL, Plugin Missing

Many Software are programmed on a platform that they require some base dependency to start. These can be .NET Framework, Java Runtime Environment, Adobe AIR, Flash or Microsoft DirectX. It’s not about just 1 or 2 application but install all those mentioned as many application often requires their support in backend.

If there is an error of Missing DLL or Component then probably, the file is corrupt or installer didn’t had permission to write that file on installation directory. So, Re-installation is only solution in this case.

2. Incompatible with Operating System or Processor

Probably, you are trying to run a 64 Bit Program on you 32 Bit (x86) Windows Installation.

If you see an error message related to the Windows version, do not despair: you can still CONFIGURE on the Compatibility tab of the executable and Windows will pretend to be an older version to run that executable file.
